Posting the Post

I know writers who do a post a week, others who post several times a day. When I am posting regularly I aim for once a day and am lucky if I hit 6 in a week. Then when I am not posting I am busy living my life and adventuring in my own way.

For a good while I worked for a solar company, helping people realize the advantages of home solar-if their house could support a system. It is all about how much light hits your roof and if your roof is in good enough shape. If the stars align just right you can save money and add clean energy to your life and maybe even the grid. If you have a battery system you can protect your home from power outages and it replaces the generators that cost a fortune.

I learned so much playing in the solar business and of course everything I learn informs my writing. My own curiosity takes me on some wild adventures exploring all kinds of green energy solutions including residential geothermal systems and wind turbines. We have so many options if a person is determined to help clean up their own footprint.

Well that leads me to the most interesting question. Someone asked me if I was one of those damn conservationists. I laughed and told them I am human, living on earth and I am interested in preserving my species, my habitat and my place on earth. After all I like breathing and if you think your taxes and prices are high now, imagine if you needed canned, purified air to breath and had to pay for each clean drop of water. We have to stop poisoning our air and water. How we do it, who pays for it? I don’t care as long as we continue to breathe and live free. No, wait, I don’t want to pay for it all. We all need to chip in.

So I guess I am a conservationist, how about you?

Read to a happy place, and enjoy the weekend.
