Powers

“All the humans have powers, psychic or magical powers.”

Those powers are really a byproduct of their connection with the planet. They are a gift, given freely by a powerful, meddling planet attempting to adopt a second species and bring them all into her circle of influence.

The dragons have a unique understanding of the planet. They have had thousands of years to develop an intimate connection to the planet as a species and the dragons all feel the will of the planet tugging at them. Some have a deeper connection, some a lighter one, but all are influenced, even when they act in opposition to the planet.

Humans have only begun to understand how the planet controls them, influences, and guides them. Heron who has the deepest understanding of dragons is still struggling to accept the tugs of the planet until he surrenders control to the mating bond. From then on, he is more responsive to the planet and she is more responsive to him.

Grabon on the other hand matured knowing that the planet was always aware, always a guiding factor, yet he would have to choose with every action to honor and protect the planet or betray all dragons and their mission to protect.

There are dozens of different powers granted by the planet; healing, shields, blasting, gold crafting and more. Which power caught your imagination?
