Resourceful

Among my characters, those favored by the author, a common character trait that comes through all of them is resourcefulness. Whether it is Hanna crafting a statue and trading it to the peddler; or Trissy managing to survive in new woods with Jenny on their long journey, resourcefulness is something this author happens to admire.

Not to be left out, the male characters have their own kind of resourcefulness and means of making use of the available resources. Gordon with his oldearth cows, breeding a herd for better tasting milk. Heron applying his knowledge of dragon wisdom to human conditions and Grabon doing the same in reverse. The territory dragon has no trouble taking human knowledge and applying it to dragon life.

This core group of the series have amazing resources, but they also find new and interesting ways of using what they have. Perhaps the best example of that is Jamie and Janie, two women of amazing resource who seem to be victims, but are not.

Each character that joins the territory has some amazing resources; physical, emotional, psychic, intellectual, craft based, knowledge based, and creative ability. While they are each outstanding, they also have flaws, weaknesses, and annoying traits. Which character do you relate to? Is it a human or a dragon?
