New Adventures
Not only am I venturing into sales, but I am expanding my territory. I am located in a store, circulating among customers and talking about a service the company I work for offers. This past week I included a new store, spreading the news of our service and helping people take those first steps. Needless to say I am not cleared to blog about the particulars of my job.
One of the most interesting parts of my job is the walking. This week I have averaged 7.4 miles a day. I still have Saturday and Sunday, which are usually 9 mile days, so the average will probably go up. Needless to say, I am not doing much exercise besides, other than the garden.
In addition to the job, working on The Hunter, and planning for celebrations, we had a tree in our front yard that was looking poorly. In addition we had a strong showing of ants and I was terrified the two were related. As it turns out, the ants responded to Terro, the best ant bait in the world, and the tree came down on Thursday.
The workmen were expected in the afternoon. They showed up at 7 am. When Shawn said something, the answer was they were early. Yes, we had noticed. But the tree came down and into the shredder one huge chunk at a time. The trunk had soft spots, the branches were brittle. Some of the trunk pieces were black with infection, fortunately not the part we asked them to leave.
So the front of our house looks different, the amount of light is incredible, and another adventure is behind us. I had never seen a crew take down a huge tree and clean it up like that. It was amazing.
What a hike!
