Cheater…Cheater
So this evening after being on my feet all day, we needed to run out to the store. We were out of a few things and running low on others. On my last days off instead of shopping, I spent my time playing in the garden. Hence the run to the store in the middle of my work week. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are likely to be my busiest days.
So we shopped and planned and managed to get what we needed. On the way home we stopped my McDonalds and they had a sale on Big Mac’s. It has been more than 5 years since I have given into the craving, not since my heart episode. Ever since that scary day I have chosen healthier foods and watched and counted my saturated fats and cholesterol. Tonight I indulged and ate a Big Mac. It was scrumptious and I relished every bite.
When I was teaching at St. Greg’s, I always took my class to Chicago Shakespeare to see a play. Once, it was Macbeth. One of my students decided our lunch stop should be at the McDonald’s in the food court and that we should all have Big Mac’s in honor of the Thane! Been a tradition ever since!
Fabulous tradition!
