First Day Off

Since I started training for this job, I went into shadowing an expert, then yesterday I stumbled and fumbled on my own meeting many of my coworkers. It was really great and I think it’s going to be a great experience.

Today is my first day off. Since yesterday was Mother’s Day and after being on my feet for more than 8 hours, I was in no condition to do anything but whimper, we put it off. So my brother and his family got together with Mom yesterday and Shawn and I are making her, a hopefully spectacular dinner tonight.

However, since I had the day off, the sun is shining and I have a new second hand lawn mower, I took it for a spin. Now the lawn is short, and I am covered with bits of dirt, grass and assorted other bits of things. I am also sporting some serious color on my face from the 🌞
