Job Hunt Continues

I keep filling out applications. Some interesting opportunities are around. One of them is working for a company that produces and sells educational supplies. I applied for development positions.

There are jobs, don’t get me wrong, but I want to work close to home. No more than 30 minutes by car, so in an emergency I can get back home. I would take a job working from home, but the best ones want me to use my home as a warehouse. I am not storing and sorting parcels while checking on quality of goods.

After getting caught in that scam, which thankfully was just an attempt to steal money from me, and not money laundering, I am extra cautious. But I am making use of the time. I turned down multiple opportunities to sell insurance. I am good at many things but selling insurance is probably not one of my strengths.

All the exciting opportunities have not called yet, so I wait and fill my time with other exciting adventures. Building the library, planting seeds, getting the yard and garden ready are all things on my list.

Of course I would be squeezing all those things into evenings and weekends if I was working, so I am making use of the time I have. Now if only Jo, my editor, would finish with book 7…

Me too! I haven’t heard from Jo lately, but she is stuck creatively and unable to work. As soon as my routine settles after I get a job, I’ll either have a manuscript to work with or I’ll move forward without her.
