Auto Pay

The convenience of auto pay is not to be dismissed. It is easy to sign up, it requires very little maintenance and it ensures to both you and the company that the money will arrive on time. The drawback is when you discontinue services.

We moved in November and our old phone and internet provider was paid through an auto pay system and somehow our ending service through the company did not stop them from collecting from my bank account.

They have been sending us a check for reimbursement ever since and I finally was able to get a real live person after going through twelve automated steps to fix the problem. Now we have to wait and see if the problem is really fixed or if it reoccurs.

Am I the only one who runs into these problems? Automation is great when it works, when it doesn’t we need a person who is capable of creative problem solving.
