Building Fence

So I was lucky enough to help my dad put in a dog yard so he can slide the door open and let the pups out to play. This involved sinking fence posts with a sledge, rolling out fencing and for fasteners we used zip ties. It worked well and they have a usable fence to keep the dogs safe from their worst impulses. Sweety, the pup I found, that they adopted is prone to run all over, including neighboring farms.

It is better if she is allowed to run within safe boundaries. Otherwise she bothers the neighbors and thankfully she never discovered the neighbors chickens, wandering free. That would have been a disaster. The other consideration is Francie, their aging yet fierce shepherd who needs a peaceful place to wander at night without the possibility of meeting a pack of coyotes.

Easier for humans, better for the dogs, it is a win-win for everyone.
