7 Seconds
A new house, new challenges, and new observations of human impatience. An understanding of the inner workings of toilets comes with age, or curiosity, Iām not sure which; but in any case, most people have fiddled with the back of a toilet at one time or another. We have a slow flushing toilet in the new house.
Wait… what is that? You might ask if you were actually in the room with me.
Allow me to explain. You hold down the handle for seven long seconds to ensure everything you expect to go down, does.
Seven seconds is not a long time… right?
It is to flush a toilet. Everyone flushes, presses the handle and goes. Standing there for 7 seconds seems like forever. The strange thing is, seven seconds is pretty short, but not for this. So, sooner or later we are changing out the inside of this toilet. We already have new parts.
