Hipita’s Vision

Being a blind human comes with restrictions, some of them imposed by society, others by common sense, and still more by fear. If being a blind human is restrictive, being a blind dragon must be devistating. On the other hand, Hipita doesn’t seem to mind until she is given a bigger and different world to explore.

One of the things that I think makes Hipita so appealing as a character is that she is not outwardly bitter. She does not waste her time blamimg her sire, her mother, Dima-her territory dragon, the healers, planet, or even herself for her inability and lack of experience. She simply owns it and moves on to embrace new possibilities.

Hipita is perceptive in that by not complaining, others become more aware of what was done to her and they move to correct it. It must have taken many cycles for her to perfect her restraint. In future books readers will see for themselves how she continues to grow and establish her own niche in The Combined Territories.
