Slide On the Move
Since I was a kid, I have always known my father was brilliant, but for this recent move, he came up with an idea, I use every day. He had, or bought a very long 12 inch wide 2 inch thick board. Then he created an extension so the board was the full distance of my stairs. This served two purposes, the board lies on the whole length of the stairs, slides under the bannister, and the joint secures it at the top so the board does not slide out of place.
If you guessed that we use this to move boxes up and down the stairs without having to carry them; bingo, you win the prize. If the box is tall and hits the bannister, slide the board out. If you need the full stair width, stand the board on end. It is brilliant and very helpful.
Thanks Dad!
