Shared Dreams
While Gordon and Hanna are fostering the mating bond between them, Gordon is anticipating each milestone. Shared emotions, shared sensations, and among the last in their case, shared dreams. When it doesn’t happen on schedule, Gordon is concerned and speaks to Heron.
His fear is that something is wrong.
Heron basically tells him to be patient and don’t stand in his own way. Gordon turns his concerns on Hanna and wonders if she could be somehow blocking things from progressing. Of course she isn’t.
Part of what makes Hanna so unique is that while her power allows her to make incredible things, and catch spoons as they fall off the counter, she does not have the kind of raw power that Gordon, Heron and Grabon contain.
Gordon soon discovers that he is in fact blocking the bond himself.
