White World
During the night, a white blanket of snow fell and is still falling as I write this. I am not ready for winter to arrive when I still have bulbs to plant and I wanted to do some ground prepping for springing our new yard.
However, I am aware that I do not get to dictate the weather. That being the case, I am grateful it is not sticking to the road and sidewalks and it only took a broom to clear the steps.
Winter weather makes me crave orange spice tea, apple crisp cookies and a warm fire. I hope everyone is warm and snug today as I unpack a few more boxes. I am still cleaning out the living room and making it livable.
We have a hopeful line on upholstered furniture that we are planning to bring home on Tuesday. I simply need to clear out all the boxes and find a place for everything else.
Soon we venture back to Missouri to fetch the last of our things and clean. That long drive is going to be tough, but we are leaving Jethro with my parents and will only be gone for a few days.
We had two-and-a-half wonderful years on that farm and we are going to miss it.
