Packing to Move
As more and more of our things get wrapped and put in boxes, I am getting tired of moving boxes around. But I am fascinated by how many things I have that are shaped not to fit easily into a rectangular box.
At some point, as I was stuffing one last thing in a box yesterday, I marveled over the odd shapes we live among and are attracted to. I have a great many circles among my possessions. Bottles, jars, pots, and so forth.
As I cleaned the oven yesterday, burning off every speck of lingering grease, we had to open windows and blow out the stench. I felt like we were cleaning ourselves out of the house and making way for the next occupant.
With my writing computer packed and put away and only my tablet and laptop out to fiddle with, my mind is having fun with oddball observations. Not to mention I would rather be doing almost anything else. Packing my life out of sight is never fun. However, I am really looking forward to unpacking and settling in to the new place.
