Geese

Autumn is confusing, with the weather changing from hot to cold in a few hours and then back to hot the next day. We have a flock of geese that are equally, or even more confused than the people. They keep flying around trying to decide where to winter or if they should fly farther south.

Geese are noisy, but when they are gathered in mass and debating the merits of one pond over another, the noise is especially noticeable. It’s not bad during the day, but at night, it is startling to hear them bicker and discuss while flying overhead.
