Territory Dragon

Aside from a psychic difference of their being tendrils on the power line, what makes a territory dragon different from a clan dragon?

This is a great question. Many dragons are born with the tendrils, choose never to use them to claim a territory. On the other hand, more than 60% of dragons don’t have tendrils on their power line, so there is no question of their being territory dragons.

Why would a dragon that was able to be a territory dragon choose a different path for themselves? Being a territory dragon is difficult. With great power comes great responsibility. Also you tie yourself to a piece of land psychically and you have to trust a clan will form around you, follow your rules and abide by your decisions. That also means you are the judge, jury and when needed, executioner. It is an awesome amount of responsibility. If your clan goes astray, as the territory dragon, you are responsible.

If a clan dragon has an irreconcilable difference with their territory dragon, they leave the territory, pack up and go back awandering. It is possible for a territory dragon to have only one or two clan members while other clans have fifty mated pairs. Imagine how that is viewed by the other dragons.
