Plans Change… Again

Plans have a way of changing, it turns out our 2003 Chevy Blazer will probably not haul thousands of pounds for hundreds of miles. While that is good to know, it creates a wrinkle in my planning for the move.

After the required bit of head scratching we decided a U-Haul truck, maybe twice would be in order. My big idea was to have Shawn tow the car, but he thinks that’s nuts! One, gas stations are tight spots anyway, big truck, car being towed makes for an accident waiting to happen. Two we have to get around at least 1 city through traffic on one end or the other no matter what time we leave. Adding the car on the back will make it even more challenging.

Okay so he had a point and after some more head scratching I agreed that what we needed was for me to go ahead and get my lisence. He drives truck, I drive car, problem solved. So today I pulled up the rules of the road and started a review. It has only been 20+ years since I drove every day, no sweat. Then I started reading about identification. Holy hell I have to find my birth certificate, and original social security card. It might be faster to get new ones.

Once again my simple plan has turned into a mess. Well that obviously isn’t happening today!
