Odd Morning

We woke to a partial blackout. What is that you ask? Good question… some of the lights, one of the air conditioners, half the appliances don’t have power. On the other hand, half of everything is working. We were fortunate, the well is working, we have water. My coffee pot has power, so I have coffee, the freezers are still running so the food will stay fresh. Oddly enough, our internet is working.

After shaking our heads and clutching my hot coffee, I took some time staring outside. Yes, that was a cow. Yes, on the wrong side of the fence. With conditions so dry, we let her eat her fill before putting her back in with the herd. It is an odd morning…
