Flint of Dreams

As a writer, I read a lot and quickly. Last night I spent a couple of hours reading Flint of Dreams, available on Amazon, by Charles Peterson Sheppard. It is a lengthy book so I am not done, but so far it is a gritty, psychic story set in our own flawed world with lots of action, twists, turns and unexpected points of hope cast in the darkness of despair. I am looking forward to finishing it.

The book reminded me that hopelessness is the enemy of action and what can seem like frantic and crazy, useless and fervent resistance, can sometimes lead to greater things. So long as we keep fighting, not every blow needs to land, not every action needs to yield results, but what none of us can do is give up, not on one another, not on our beliefs and not one what matters most.

Read, embrace your life and find the points of light in each day.
