Footprints in the Mud
One of the things my husband and I love to do is go for walks where few people have been. Fortunately, and this was the plan, we live in a place that we have plenty of choices to find the perfect spot. Anyway after a rain is the perfect time to go to look at tracks. Mud presents other challenges as my husband uses wheels to get around and mud gets in his treads, but a strong brush and some dying time works wonders on the mud issue. Back to my tracks…
Looking at tracks is always a game because there is a story there, the one that happened, and the one we build around the tracks. Now in my world animals have the gift of speech so we can write their dialog, but in reality of course, communication is accomplished through behavior. Sometimes we mix the two, just for added giggles. Anyway, the next time you spot tracks in the mud, think of the story behind them.
