Dangers on NewEarth
One of the more interesting things about writing about a fictional planet is getting to makeup all the dangers. I especially enjoy natural dangers, things that are not necessarily a bad person messing up the characters life. To that end we got the stinger, that nasty flying bug that stung Heron in book 2. We also met the pinarts that stalked Trissy and Brom in the woods, the ones Athena my artist depicted so well. In Gordon’s Pride the threats were human. In Heron’s Bonds they were more natural. In The Heartsinger, they were dragon, human and crazy. Now in Healing, the danger is human mostly, with dragon, nature and disease thrown in for good measure. I think you’ll like it.
