❄️ Snow ⛄️
I have to confess that I had never been real close to a running snow blower. It was not a chore I ever did and Shawn and I never had one. Needing to remove snow while having a heart condition, it made sense, and we did some research before picking out the one we wanted. But after running it, I am really glad we didn’t get one bigger and more powerful.
We had a good time playing in the snow, using my Christmas gift, a snow blower. I even cleared the neighbor’s sidewalk. Shawn used his scooter and ‘big scoop’ shovel. Together we managed to get all the snow off our driveway and walkways. At least for today.
As it was I was drenched from head to toe, sweat from the inside, snow from the outside. The wind enjoyed blowing all the whispy snow back at me. If it had been colder I might have been crusted. As it was, it melted and I had reason to be grateful that my coat was water repellent.
As much fun as I had, the real story here, is Shawn with his scooter, finding a way to shovel the snow. Last snow he found a way to use a smaller shovel; but it wasn’t as effective as he wanted. We found the ‘big scoop’ shovel at a local store and he was pretty excited that he could make that work. I think he still has a few alterations he wants to make, but it worked great. With both of us out removing snow, it is fun, companionable and less dangerous for both of us. Marriage is all about doing things together, filling in for one another and taking on the world back to back.
Congratulations, Shawn!
